CGI Animation and Previsualization

I worked as a 3D character animator and previsualization artist for a number of studios. The majority of this work was done in Maya, with some work in 3DMax and Houdini.
Below are samples from the a few of the projects I worked on.

Previsualization 2008 - 2013

I worked as a previsualization artist (which is a bit like a 3D storyboard artist) for a number of big budget feature films, game cinematics and commercials. I composed shots and did temporary animation to work out the pacing and feel of the shots. On large shows, many people work on these shots and it becomes a collaborative process. The reel above shows the final clips after many hours of labor.

Magnetism, 2004

A tale of attraction (and repulsion)

Magnetism was my MFA thesis film from the Academy of Art. I concieved, designed, animated and directed the whole thing.
It played in 60 film festivals around the world, won three awards and gained television distribution on Nickelodeon.
